An instrumental jazz quartet featuring the compositions of guitarist composer Steve Raleigh. Their music draws upon post-bop tradition but brings the music into the new millennium.
Inner Door is an ensemble of musicians from New York State's mid-Hudson region. Basing their style in instrumental jazz, the quartet draws upon a number of varied musical influences to form a distinct and recognizable vibe all their own. Their repertoire combines primarily original material by Steve Raleigh, with select compositions by past and present jazz masters, and features Steve Raleigh on guitar, Charles Frommer on saxophone, bassist Lew Scott and Joe Carozza on drums.
